E-Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the legal terms and conditions which apply to your purchase and redemption of physical and E-Gift Cards, these are in addition to our standard Terms & Conditions and relate specifically to the sale of E-Gift Cards.
These terms and conditions apply to the E-Gift Cards purchased online through our website and E-Gift Cards purchased in-store at our Cycle Hub.
St Albans Cycle Hub CIC (we / us) reserve the right to update and change these terms and conditions at any time. This does not affect your legal rights. Use of your Cycle Hub E-Gift Card constitutes acceptance of our Terms & Conditions, so it is suggested that you read these carefully.

1. Purchasing an E-Card

1.1. A valid email address is required to purchase and receive a, E-Gift Card.
1.2. E-Gift Cards ordered through our website or instore will be delivered automatically to the email address specified at the time of ordering.
1.3. Please make sure that the email address is correct as we cannot be held responsible if as a result somebody other than the intended recipient receives and uses the E-Gift Card .
1.4. Receipt of your purchased E-Gift Card is usually instantaneous. Please check your spam folder or ask the recipient to do so if it is not received and notify us as soon as you become aware. Providing the balance has not been used we can cancel and re-issue a replacement E- Gift Card for the same value with the same validity.
1.5. Promotional and discounted rates, offered in-store or online do not apply to the purchase of E-Gift Cards; this includes any longer-term discounts offered to groups, sponsors, Cycle Hub staff & volunteers.

2. E-Gift Card Validity period
​
2.1. E-Gift Cards are valid for a maximum of 24 months from the point of issue or to the date stated on the Card itself, whichever is sooner.
2.2. Expiry dates are not extendable, expired Cards will not be accepted. An E-Gift Card cannot be used to purchase a further E-Gift Card .
2.3. An E-Card expires automatically once its balance reaches zero.
2.4. E-Gift Cards may to be used to pay for the whole or any part of an in-store or online purchase.
2.5. Using the E-Gift Card instore will result in the balance being transferred to an instore account; the E-Gift Card can no longer be used online if used instore.

3. Responsibility and Lost E-Gift Cards
​
3.1. You are responsible for the safe keeping and security of the E-Gift Card , we cannot accept any responsibility for misuse or loss of the E-Gift Card arising from, but not limited to:
3.1.1. unauthorised access to the E-Gift Card recipient email account
3.1.2. the actions of any other individual that may have authorised access to the recipient email account.
3.1.3. the forwarding of the E-Card email/16-digit number/QR code and its subsequent use
3.1.4. financial losses arising from fraud
3.1.5. deletion of the E-Card email or filtration of the email into an inaccessible junk or spam filter
3.1.6. loss or non-receipt of the E-Gift Cards arising from the misconfiguration of your email account or any factor reasonably within your control that prevents the E-Card from being delivered to your email account.

4. Applicability / Not convertible to cash

4.1. The Card is valid at St Albans Cycle Hub only; either via the website www.stalbanscyclehub.co.uk or instore at the Cycle Hub.
4.2. E-Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash
4.3. Altered or damaged Cards will not be accepted

5. Redemption
​
5.1. The E-Card can be used for goods and services purchasable via our website or presented in person at the time of redemption in a form where the full E-Gift Card code is visible, and the recipients email address can be verified. We can read / scan the E-Card from your device or in a printed format.
5.2. We will not accept Cards via telephone.
5.3. Presentation of a valid, unaltered electronic or printed E-Gift Card will be subject to an on-site verification process and is subject to validation prior to redemption in all circumstances.
5.4. We will advise you of any residual balance at the time of redemption or at your enquiry in person at our Cycle Hub.

6. Refunds
​
6.1. Where products or services are purchased in full or in part with an E-Gift Card and later returned or refunded, monies owing will be returned in the same format – E-Gift Card , cash or card as applicable.

7. Data protection and Privacy
​
7.1. Personal data relating to your purchase and use of the E-Card will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
​
8.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
8.2. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
